I can't even spell my own name?!

Thanks to David, I finally fixed the header title of my blog to spell my name in Hebrew properly. David, don't hesitate to let me know if it still sucks :)

For the record, the banner was previously in Katakana, then in Arabic for a while (thanks Imed!), and in Hebrew since Eitan kindly transliterated my name for me.

If you have some Hindie skills, drop me a note :)

  1. Weird, I thought it was pronounced "no-seh-rah", whereas the hebrew I'm seeing would be pronounced "nee-so-rah".

  3. बैसटियन (bas-te-yun) नोसेरा ?

Do you pronounce it bas-chi-yen/bas-ch-yun/bast-yun instead?

  4. I'd suggest a transliteration into Quenya, but sadly that never made it into Unicode. :)

  5. Yes, he’s right. I just figured that you were trying to transliterate some alternate pronunciation of your surname, so I didn’t give the difference much thought. I should have pointed it that out. If you want it to sound more like ‘no-seh-rah’, this would be better:
    נוֹסֵרָה

  6. Yeah, David's new spelling is what I was thinking, too. But I have no clue how to type Hebrew.

    Obviously, I'm not a native speaker. :-P
